Yoga For Hips
(Saturday, September 24 – 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM)
Tight hips? Achey hips? Hips don’t lie. Everyday lifestyles of sitting for long periods of time or only walking forward can create immobility and related pain in our hips. Yoga moves the body safely in various planes of direction, increases flexibility, lubricates joints, and helps to build healthy bone and tissue. With daily focus on hip mobility and strength, people of any age can learn to live a fuller life with less pain and more freedom to move about confidently.
This workshop is good for people with hip issues – be it chronic pain from sports or hip replacements. Concentrate on yogic methods that will help them get back into life.
- Learn techniques to loosen the hip joints upon awakening, throughout the day, after sports activities, and before going to sleep.
- Understand personal lifestyle behaviors that cause tight and sore hips
- Heal, stretch, then strengthen pelvic hip flexors and extensors – the muscles that move us.
- Understand how posture and alignment can help alleviate stress in the hips
Yoga For Backs
(Saturday, October 8 – 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM)
All yoga postures originate from the spine. Too much driving, sitting around, and slumping postures create issues with both the skeletal elements of our backs as well as the muscles that support and move our torsos. Modern lifestyles tend to create back issues through improper alignment when performing tasks, weak muscles in the back or abdominal areas, or simply not recognizing that the spinal discs need to be warmed up before activities like sports.
This workshop will provide participants with methods to loosen the back, lengthen muscles of the back side of the body (we’re connected all along the length of our body), strengthen the muscles with balance, and live a happier life with less pain.

Yoga For Stress Reduction
(Saturday, October 22 – 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM)
Uncover the art of active relaxation. It isn’t always enough to simply relax, sometimes you need to actively seek it. Learning to truly relax is at the heart of living well. Research now shows a direct correlation between stress and your health, not only your emotional health but your physical and spiritual health as well. When activated with great frequency, our stress response system becomes more difficult to turn off. Instead of tapering down to a normal level, our body remains in this heightened state which inevitably takes a toll on our systems. Relax More was created to provide individuals, organizations and companies with effective methods for stress reduction.
This workshop will provide participants with methods to fully recover from personal and professional stress. Upon completion of this workshop, you will leave with the:
- Understanding of the short and long-term effects of stress on the emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual self
- Insight into the root cause of your stress
- Strategy to face, reduce, and combat future stress
- Therapeutic breathing, body movement, and progressive muscle relaxation techniques
- Capability to listen to and recognize what your body is telling you
- Better focus and sharpened concentration needed for success
