Margi has practiced for over a decade in the Twin Cities in outpatient orthopedics, focusing heavily on sports medicine. She has an expertise in the treatment of runners and triathletes from the novice to the elite level. She is highly skilled in the assessment and treatment of general lower extremity diagnoses and utilizes video analysis as part of her evaluation for treatment and prevention of runners’ injuries. In addition, she is known as a “go to” physical therapist in the treatment of hip injuries for all ages, both non-surgical and surgical including but not limited to hockey players, runners, dancers, gymnasts, and yogis. She also speaks locally on running injury prevention and biomechanics of gait to medical colleagues and running groups.

Margi’s treatment philosophy encompasses hands-on manual techniques and individual exercises that incorporates neuromuscular re-education for optimal functional movement patterns. Her style is eclectic as she pulls from many “Physical Therapy schools of thought.” She believes educating the patient is very important to ensure they understand their diagnosis and any muscle imbalances and or weaknesses. Every patient leaves with “homework” specific to their dysfunction to ensure they invest in their journey towards recovery and optimization.
