Maurie has been practicing physical therapy since 1989. Most of his experience is in general orthopedics and sports physical therapy. Prior to joining the Viverant team, he practiced throughout the region/state, including the Twin Cities, St. Cloud, and North and South Dakota. Maurie was also an assistant professor for six years in the physical therapy program at the College of St. Scholastica. His special interests are the shoulder and sports physical therapy. He has had the opportunity to work closely with a group of orthopedic surgeons specializing in the shoulder and sports medicine, and is an expert practitioner in this area.

Maurie’s treatment focus is on manual therapy and home exercises to improve patient’s movement patterns, function, and strength. He ensures the patient is educated on their impairments, the purpose for the treatment and exercises, and what needs to occur for them to return to their highest possible level of function.

Maurie is a Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, and a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor through the Titleist Performance Institute.
