DPT
Location:
St. Louis Park,
Headshot:
Title:
Physical Therapist
Quote:
I view the body as a system with many parts that work together to create fluid movement.
Bio:
Christina became interested in physical therapy after experiencing physical therapy first-hand as a result of numerous sport-related injuries. She grew up participating in volleyball, basketball and track, and played volleyball for the College of Saint Benedict, Blazers, for four years. After college, Christina earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Saint Catherine University.
Christina has work experience in the general orthopedic setting and in the geriatric population including persons with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Christina is diligent in educating patients about the anatomical dysfunctions that lead to their functional limitations. She believes a patient achieves success when they gain an understanding of their condition and plan of care, and are in turn motivated to participate. Christina sees her role as a coach/facilitator of normal, pain free movement and relies on the patients to play an active role in their own care.
In her spare time, Christina enjoys spending time at her cabin in Northern Wisconsin with her husband, son, and extended family. She also enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, reading, yoga and playing games.
