Lance, a native New Yorker, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maine, Orono where he went to play baseball but left as a letterman in swimming. To thaw out, he headed south to the University of North Carolina, Greensboro to complete his Master’s degree in Exercise Science. Lance enjoys coaching and motivating people of all abilities and backgrounds to achieve their own version of fitness. After meeting his wife in Colorado, they settled in Charlotte, North Carolina where he would eventually develop and run an online coaching company for endurance athletes. Missing the team atmosphere, in 2012 Lance and his family of four moved to Minnesota where he helped develop the National Endurance program for Lifetime Fitness and helped guide that program for 6 years. Though Lance has competed in countless triathlons including Kona, his true passion is assisting others on their journey to functional health.
When he’s not coaching, Lance enjoys camping with his wife and two kids, being behind the wheel or in the engine bay of his 1978 VW Bus Camper, or digging in the backyard garden.
