Growing up a figure skater, Marysa developed a strong passion for movement. Being able to execute technical jumps and spins took a deep understanding of body mechanics, and she began to love observing and analyzing movement patterns of other people. As she explored other movement practices like yoga, pilates, and running, she began to realize the powerful connection between the mind and the body. She pursued degrees in both exercise science and psychology to gain a better understanding of this connection. She strongly believes in education and empowerment as key pieces of restoring health and wellness.
Marysa has experience working in outpatient orthopedics, and has undergone training through the Institute of Physical Art to enhance her understanding of movement patterns, posture, and manual therapy techniques. Analyzing the whole body and listening to each person’s individual experience is important to providing optimal treatment and facilitating recovery.
Marysa grew up in Minnesota, but has strong Wisconsin ties making her both a Badger and a Packer fan. She loves being outdoors, where she is usually being outrun by her dog Finn.
