Lars earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. While in school, he worked as a personal trainer and served as the President of the Illinois Physical Therapy Association’s Student Special Interest Group.
Lars enjoys staying active and has experience in a variety of sports ranging from CrossFit to football to marathons. His array of sport-related experiences helps him empathize with patients and understand the strategies necessary to return to sports, activities, and a healthy lifestyle.
Lars strongly believes in empowering patients and educating them in ways to manage their pain independently. Active individuals are going to get bumps and bruises along the way. He feels it is important to teach his patients how to address those bumps and bruises independently so they can save provider visits for more serious injuries.
Outside of work, Lars likes to stay active with his wife and two kids, while also working on improving his proficiency in Olympic Lifts in his home gym.
