Jenna has been active most her life through competitive dance, long distance running and playing soccer. She knew she wanted to work in sports medicine to help advance athletes in some capacity. Jenna went onto complete her masters degree in Clinical Nutrition from Ohio State University, where she completed her thesis research on iron levels in female runners. She conducted additional research with the Director of Sports Nutrition at Ohio State, assisting in multiple projects related to bone density, body fat and body composition in collegiate and recreational athletes. While in graduate school, Jenna worked at the Ohio State Medical Center as a research assistant in muscle physiology, studying drug therapy treatment for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Jenna believes in the importance of establishing relationships with each of her patients, and working to improve patient lives through professionally individualized nutritional goals. With her background in biology and medicine, she is able to implement evidence-based research with her practice. She is also able to simplify complicated nutrition information to help those looking to effec tively achieve their fitness and nutrition-related goals. Jenna enjoys working with all varieties of patients and being involved with their journey of making sustainable, lifestyle changes.
Outside of Viverant, Jenna enjoys traveling and exploring new cities, dressing up for the Kentucky Derby and rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
