Joanna completed extensive clinical work while in school, at various outpatient orthopedic settings across the Twin Cities. She gained competencies in working with patients of acute and chronic orthopedic conditions, with a diverse array of physical abilities and therapeutic goals. She also participated in research regarding the importance and appropriateness of a physical therapist’s role in the promotion of healthy behaviors.
Joanna believes patients have the greatest opportunity for success when they are provided education regarding their diagnosis, prevention, and individualized management strategies. She strives to empower patients to adopt optimal movement patterns to maintain sustainable engagement in the activities they love.
In her spare time, Joanna values an active lifestyle and spending time with her friends and family. Her hobbies include high intensity interval training, yoga, walking around the lakes, and nutrition.
