Phil is a native Duluthian, who grew up a multi-sport athlete before attending The College of St. Scholastica (CSS). While at CSS, Phil earned Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Exercise Physiology and captained the football team in their inaugural season. His athletic and educational background layed the foundation for a passion in human body movement, function and performance.
Before joining the Viverant team, Phil coordinated a wellness program for six years, where he played a vital role in achieving recognition by the American Heart Association with the status of a “Gold Level—Fit Friendly Company.” He has extensive experience in personal and group training, as well as creating exercise programming for individuals from all walks of life. He is passionate about helping patients set unique goals and achieve optimal performance.
Away from Viverant, Phil serves as a Firefighter and EMT on the Proctor Fire Department. He greatly enjoys having the ability to give back to the community in this capacity. In his free time, Phil likes to staying active with his wife and kids, all things sports related, and the occasional Netflix binge.
