Meet our awesome Edina Team! Rhondi, Colleen, Kathleen, and Caryn will all be there when we open in mid October!
Rhondi has been enjoying treating sports and orthopedics patients since 1993. The last 10 years she has focused on integrating Pilates-based rehabilitation into her practice. She uses manual therapy in combination with Pilates to skillfully correct old, impaired movement patterns. Patients are often surprised by the powerful changes they see and feel in their entire body, not just their injured/painful part. Her passion is treating sports injuries, specifically for joint instabilities.
When not in the clinic Rhondi can be found enjoying the outdoors with her husband and two daughters.
Prior to joining Viverant, Colleen owned a Pilates studio where she taught all age groups. She has been teaching since 2003, and her experience includes Pilates, Ballet, and Yoga. Colleen has a great passion for helping clients find healthy body alignment and efficiency of movement, allowing them to continue enjoying highly active lifestyles. As a Minnesota native, she graduated from the University of Minnesota, and grew up studying dance at Minnesota Dance Theater. Annually she attends seminars to learn the most updated Pilates research, and is currently working to complete her Advanced Yoga Certification. Colleen truly loves being a mother of two university students, traveling the world, and actively competes as a USFSA Adult Gold Figure Skater.
Kathleen graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2015. Following graduation she began her orthopedic residency at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and Meriter Hospital, which she completed in 2016. In 2017, Kathleen completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Kathleen also served as an instructor in the Physical Therapy professional program throughout the fellowship.
Kathleen believes in taking a comprehensive approach in her clinical practice. She uses a wide variety of hands-on manual techniques to aid in recovery, followed by neuromuscular re-education and therapeutic exercises to help prevent re-injury and optimize functional performance. Kathleen strives to make each patient an active participant in their plan of care and to work towards goals that are meaningful to the patient.
Outside of work, Kathleen enjoys traveling, cooking, and staying active in a variety of ways. She enjoys running and has completed several half and full marathons, yoga, Pilates, cycling, and weight training.
Caryn graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Caryn’s passion for physical therapy stems from her lifelong participation in athletics, including competitive swimming at the collegiate level at UW-La Crosse and competing in marathons and multiple triathlons. Through her clinical affiliations, Caryn has had extensive experience working in the outpatient orthopedic setting and has treated patients with a wide variety of diagnoses. She finds great reward in helping patients of all functional levels reach their goals. Caryn utilizes a combination of skilled, manual therapy techniques along with individualized exercises to address each patient’s symptoms and movement dysfunctions.
Caryn is also involved in Viverant’s eVolution program, which integrates components of Pilates to address the chief source of her patient’s symptoms. Caryn believes that education is a key component in the healing process; when patients understand their condition, it empowers them to take an active role their recovery and prevention.
Outside of the clinic, Caryn stays active outdoors and finds “her therapy” through trail running, cycling, hiking, camping, and being out on the lake. As a Wisconsin native, Caryn is a devoted Packer fan and frequents her hometown in the Milwaukee area regularly to spend time with family and friends.
