Physical Therapist
Expertise
Jamie had been practicing Physical Therapy for more than eight years in the state of Washington before moving back to Minnesota to be closer to family. In 2008, Jamie graduated from the Gray Institute as a fellow of Applied Functional Science (GIFT). There are hundreds of GIFT fellows around the world and Jamie is one of only three fellows in Minnesota. As a GIFT fellow, she has extensive training in applied functional science, expertise in full body chain reaction biomechanical assessment and treatment design. This includes evaluation and exercise design across all three planes of motion.
Jamie’s clinical interests include lower extremity (hip, knee and ankle dysfunction and post-surgical rehab), designing sport injury prevention programs and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, which allows the breakdown of scar tissue and fascial restrictions.
Her treatment focuses on creating the optimal environment for healing, injury prevention and long term compliance. After a thorough evaluation, she feels it is crucial to educate the patient on their dysfunction and with this understanding, allow them to actively participate in their rehabilitation and prevention of future dysfunction or injury.
